Reform to hydrocarbons law is frozen

The reform to the hydrocarbons law was suspended indefinitely after two federal judges granted the first definitive suspensions with general effects against said legislation, which was published on May 4. With the resolutions of the First and Second District Courts in Administrative Matters, Specialized in Economic Competition, Broadcasting and Telecommunications, by Rodrigo de la Peza and Juan Pablo Gómez Fierro, the effects of articles 51, 57 and 59 Bis will be stopped indefinitely. It should be noted that Article 57 empowers the Government to carry out the tem porary occupation, intervention or suspension of any permit granted under the Hydrocarbons Law in addition to contracting Pemex and allowing it to take control of the facilities. While the transitory articles allow the authorities to revoke permits that as of May 5, did not meet the requirements requested by the Ministry of Energy (Sener) on the storage of hydrocarbons. Tragedy in subway train in Mexico City

The night of may 3, 2021 is going to be remembered due a tragedy in Mexico, a structure of the subway train collapsed and left tens of injured people and the firsts official reporsts speak at least 15 deaths. There are not so much information about the case until the moment, but three years ago, the newspaper El Universal reported the neighbors were afraid about the structure, because it had several damage.  In that moment, the citizens said they were afraid of the structure could collapse and fall down.  Well, this night, it happened.
